Lake Webb: Sunsets & Still Waters

Last weekend (Memorial Day Weekend) my family and I went camping to Lake Webb, and we had such a wonderful time. It was nice to get away from the city, and I intentionally left my laptop and iPad at home and kept my phone off all day, only checking my email and social media once a day -- it was exactly what I needed to reenergize.

I did bring my camera bag with me but upon arrival I decided I wasn't going to use it. That only lasted 24 hours! I first used it during our evening bike ride as we rode into the sunset, and again the morning before we left. I woke up really early and decided to go for a bike ride. Everyone else was still asleep so there was no one out on their boats or jet skies, and the water was so still and perfect and dreamy. I immediately went back for my camera and enjoyed some quiet time on the lake.

It was a perfect little vacation, and now I'm ready to dive back in to summer sessions.

Enjoy a few pictures,

On a little side note, I absolutely love my ONA Bag!  This bag has really stood the test of time, especially with shooting one day at the beach and the next in the desert and the next in the mountains and the next in the forest and being brought along on personal trips. My bag has really take a beating yet it's barely scratched, and the scratches that are there only add personality to the bag. It's definitely one of the best investments I've made. And I love shooting film on my Canon AE-1 Program, it's such a great film camera.
