On September 27, 2014 my maternal grandparents celebrated 50 years of marriage. They're both in their mid-70's and have 10 kids, 23 grandkids, 2 great-grandkids and one grandson-in-love. To celebrate 50 years of marriage and the family they have, they decided to renew their vows, promising to continue to love and honor and support each other for the rest of their lives. They are such an amazing example of a God-given unconditional love, and they are an unbelievable example to me, my sisters and all my cousins.
Unfortunately only five of their children and fourteen of their grandchildren were able to make it to the celebration, the rest of the family is in Mexico and unable to enter the States, but it was an amazing celebration and it truly was an honor to be a part of it.
My grandma is very shy and doesn't like to kiss in public, so she told my grandpa they wouldn't be kissing. But my grandpa, being the big romantic guy he is, gave her a peck on the cheek anyway :)
