If you've followed my blog for a while then you know that I have congenital heart disease and I'm a counselor at Camp del Corazon, which is a camp for kids with heart problems, just like me. It's at Camp del Corazon that I've met some of the most amazing people. CdC directors and counselors and volunteers are some of the most loving, selfless and all-around awesome people I have ever met. Their love for these little kids battling heart disease is so touching. Some of these counselors have heart disease themselves and give back as a result, but others have no connection to heart disease other than some crazy counselor telling them about this amazing camp. Whatever the reason they're there, CdC counselors are incredible.
All of this applies to Amber (Tinkerbell) and Brad (Booter). (We all have camp names at CdC :-) I met them both during my very first interview to be a counselor, and I remember Brady being there too, having fun playing and chasing Xena's dogs (one of the camp directors) :-) Tink and Booter weren't yet married when I first met them but their love was undeniable. They were SO cute together. Then I got to work with them at camp and I loved them! Tink and Booter are SO easy to approach at camp with any problem we may have, and they're SO much fun. Without a doubt Booter and Tink are some of the most loved counselors at camp.
And now they're expecting their first baby! I can't even begin to say how excited I am for them. When Tink first contacted me about doing these pregnancy announcement pictures I just about jumped out of my seat with the excitement! Booter and Tink are SO excited to meet their baby, and their doggie Brady is so stinkin' adorable and he's going to be such a great big brother :-)
Tink, Booter and Brady - congratulations! I am SO happy for you! Baby K is so beyond blessed to be coming into such a loving and fun family. Thank you so much for trusting me with such precious memories - and with keeping the secret until you announced to your family and friends with the pictures! :-) I will be praying for a smooth and easy pregnancy, and I SO look forward to helping you document this new journey with my camera over the next few months :-) - Hugs, Harbor
