Victor & Esther's Civil Wedding

On Friday, April 29th (yes - the same day as the Royal Wedding!) I had the honor of photographing one of my best friends' civil wedding. She also happens to be my cousin. It really is an honor when one of the person's you grew up with and shared SO much of your time with asks you to photograph her "journey to marriage." To say that I'm excited would be a complete understatement.

Esther and Victor had a small ceremony where they were legally united under the State of California. It was a beautiful little ceremony.

There was so much respectful love between the two of them, it was beautiful to witness.

I love this shot of Victor looking on as Esther signs the final papers...

And this one of Esther looking at Victor as he signs off :-)

And that hug... it melted me! Just look at the joy on Esther's face!

Right after the ceremony we took a few portraits, and I love this one of them. Their smiles can't get any more genuine!

While we waited for the notary to notarize the signed paperwork we had a little fun. Victor re-enacted his proposal with a red rose :-)

I love this shot of their hands holding the rose...

As we went downstairs I had them stop and took this photo. I love it! It's so, in Esther's words, "funny and cute!" :-)

And off we went with the new couple to have a celebratory dinner :-)

Check back soon for their beach engagement photos!
